Characteristics

In order not to frighten animals, the shape and user-friendliness of the scanner has been designed in partnership with veterinary surgeons. The petSCAN RT 100 V2 requires little space but has excellent performance.

It can read transponders of type FDX B (ISO standard), and is backward compatible with type FDX A (Destron, AVID, AEG,Trovan) and HDX (Texas Tiris).

- Scanning distance: from 5 to 12cm. It depends on the type of transponder and its orientation compared with the scanner.

To avoid any handwriting mistakes when transmitting the identification number read by petSCAN, two types of transmission are available as an option:

- Transmission via an RS 232-type wire link

- Radio transmission using Bluetooth technology

This function is compatible with most PCs or PDAs having Bluetooth origin or via a USB Bluetooth key.

Bluetooth model:

- Optional extra factory fitted bluetooth provides a radio communication (10 to 20 meters) allowing transmission of serial numbers memorized (maximum :1000).
HomeSafeId provides an optional keyboard software wedge to facilitate this feature.

Keyboard Wedge:

HomeSafeId provides an optional keyboard software wedge removing the need to manually key chip numbers from the reader screen to a PDA, Notebook, PC etc. This ensures an error free upload of chip numbers to any device.
